TubePilot — Privacy policy
How TubePilot handles local data, SponsorBlock requests, backups and deletion.
The interactive demo requires JavaScript. Extension files and installation instructions are available below.
1. Data sent externally
To look up sponsor segments, the extension sends the current YouTube video ID to the SponsorBlock API (sponsor.ajay.app). It is used to retrieve segment information.
2. Data stored in your browser
Extension settings, your library, tags, notes, and segment bookmarks are stored locally in your browser. They are not sent to the TubePilot developer’s servers. Channel rules, private skip ranges, loop options, timestamp notes and saved-video positions also stay in your browser. Unsaved videos do not create watch-history entries.
3. Data on this website
This site saves your language choice in your browser. Demo state resets on page reload. It includes no analytics or advertising trackers. External links are subject to the destination service’s policies.
4. Backup and deletion
Removing the extension deletes its local data. Export a JSON backup first if you need to keep it. Downloaded backup files are managed by you. You can clear this site’s language preference through your browser’s site data settings.
